Veil Painting, is a wet-on-dry method of watercolor. It explores the transformative nature of color into form, emerging from the interplay of layers of warm and cool. Each transparent veil of color must be carefully applied so as not to dissolve the lower layers. Layer after layer is added until slowly form emerges.

Like veil Painting, veil drawing explores the transformative nature of color into form through the interplay of layers. Once a form emerges, colored pencils enhance what the layers have revealed.

My mixed media work explores form, color and negative space through ink printing, paint, colored pencil and more.

I work in an abundance of painting techniques ranging from abstract to portrait paintings. Currently focusing heavily on veil paintings and modern abstract paintings.

Working with students is a great passion of mine, watching them discover the joy of creativity and the therapeutic qualities of art.
